Labours are the backbone of the government, state and country-Tame Phassang
NIRJULI, May1: Along with the rest of the world, International Labour Day was also celebrated by All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU) here at Nyokum Niya Hall Nirjuli. Minister for Power & Industry Tamiyo Taga and BJP Vice President (State) Tame Phassang attended the celebration as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
Extending greeting to the workers community, Phassang opined that the Labours are the backbone of the government, state and country who are contributing in nation building. ‘Behind every development or successful projects in state or country there are workers communities who worked with their dedication to make it success asserted Phassang. He also highlighted various schemes and projects meant for the workers community by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Government.
‘There are more than seven schemes specially designed for the labour communities of the country. Informing that he appealed the executive members and leaders to reach the unreached and disseminate the information about the various schemes for the poor people. “BJP’s motto is to confer development and prosperity to each and every one and so it is the duty of every leader to carry forward the projects and schemes amongst the common man, added Phassang while assuring to extend all possible help to the labour community.
While responding to the memorandum submitted by the AAPLU , Minister Tamiyo Taga said Government is with labour community and already fulfilled the most of the demands. Government has already taken a decision to regularize the casual labours who has spent more than 20 years as casual labor in any department.
Minister further, informed that BJP led central government is going to confer free electricity connection to un-electrified houses after its success completion of electricity connection to every villages.
Earlier, President AAPLU submitted memorandum demanding regularization of senior casual workers, restriction of regularization on pick & choose method, reservation of 75 percent in C & D groups and others.
