BJP STATE CONVENOR ADMITS SHARP LEADERSHIP FRACTURES AND CONFLICT OF INTEREST IN BORDUMSA-DIYUN

BORDUMSA,Nov.17: The BJP turned former congress cabinet Minister Chandra Ceth Singpho (CC Singpho) in a party meeting held this morning at Singpho heritage Centre Bordumsa did not hesitate to expose the turbulence caused by leadership issue here in 49 Bordumsa-Diyun Constituency expressing his concern for the sharp division and splits among the leaders with contrasting approach in their arbitrary way. Mr Singpho who has been the State Convenor of Bharatiya Janata Yubo Morcha wing of BJP was addressing the party workers and office bearers during the introductory visit of Kaling Pertin the newly appointed BJP in charge for Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh who has been on a tour programme visiting 5 different constituencies of Changlang District from 17th to 23rd of this month.

While Mr Singpho dwelt on underling multiple issues including leadership competency and weak party base affecting party structures and its functioning in the wake of forth coming Assembly election, Mayong Maio the State BJP Secretary another intending candidate on the other hand assured the party workers and the District Incharge of maintaining a solid integration with sound people’s allegiance towards the party. Both the Singpho leaders have been reportedly the claimants for the saffron tickets from the 49Bordumsa-Diyun General seat. ‘We are facing hardships and complicacies in the absence of an efficient party leader here in Bordumsa-Diyun’, lamented CC Singpho at the same time lauded the President and Vice President of Bordumsa-Diyun Mandal unit of BJYM for their relentless efforts and contribution towards the party.

‘Thin attendance, contradictory speeches by the saffron leaders, holding party meetings arbitrarily for vested interest, indiscipline manners and undesirable conducts of the office-bearers ignoring the sanctity of the Mandal office, individual campaigning for ticket, lobbyism etc. are some of the formidable challenges that the entire party hierarchy is confronted today in Bordumsa-Diyun’, regretted an office bearers of the Bordumsa-Diyun mandal BJYP.

‘Heavy weight leaders of the party in Bordumsa-Diyun over a period of time have assembled thousands of people in their individual meetings to prove their strength while any official meetings convened by the Mandal unit of the party have very discouraging attendance which the upper hierarchy of the party must take note of it seriously and intervene timely’, informed Inthem Nonja Singpho the Mandal President of the Yuba Morcha.

Meanwhile, Kaling Pertin who was on his maiden official visit briefed adequately and downloaded the objectives of the party in a crystal clear manner stating that all five seats in the District should be brought under the saffron fold at any cost. Handling certain objections, Mr Pertin told that no party meeting in individual capacity or any party activities affecting the entire hierarchy would be allowed unless consented by competent upper hierarchy of the party office including the Mandal. According to him, all the frontline wings, important office bearers, leaders and workers of the BJP must deliver primarily for the interest of the party and consolidating a strong base. ‘Saffron ticket would be allotted to the leader who has mandate with him besides assessing his party contribution and public reputation’, said Mr Pertin.

Tapir Gao the State BJP President Arunachal Pradesh recently via letter BJP/OTH/AP/2018-19/18 dated 9th November had affected a minor reshuffle for functional convenience to strengthen grass-root structures of BJP in Tirap, Changlang, Lohit, Papumpare, Capital Complex of Itanagar. And as such, Incharge Lohit Distrct Kaling Pertin has been assigned new jurisdiction of Changlang following which a tour programme has been undertaken from this 17th to 21 st November 2018 covering 49-Bordumsa-Diyun, 50-Miao, 51- Nampong, 52-Changlang South and 53 Changlang North constituencies of the Eastern Arunachal.
