ITANAGAR, 5th Feb: Moving on with the Cleanliness Drive under the theme ‘Hamara Elan Swachhta aur Nari Utthan’ the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) along with Raj Bhavan officers and staff participated in the Swachh Abhiyan in Lower Vivek Vihar today.
‘Everyone has to work with determination, Cleanliness drive should continue till the mindset of the people is adapts to the habit of keeping the area clean’ said Governor.
Interacting with participants, Governor emphasized on public toilets and opined that public utility service should be located mostly in busy public places with separate facilities for ladies, gents and physically challenged persons.
Among others, Councilor Taba Yall Nabam, along with members of the NGO ‘Sangtam Ajen’, Chief Municipal Executive Officer, Itanagar Municipal Council Dr. Olik Taring and other volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive.
Meanwhile, accompanied by Chief Municipal Councilor Kipa Kaku, Deputy Chief Municipal Councilor, Tarh Nachung and Itanagar Municipal Council officials inspected few of the public utility projects.
