MLA,BR WAGE, INSPECTS ROAD PROJECTS AT SEIJOSA

SEIJOSA,5th Feb: After his win in recently held Bye- Election at Pakke Kesang Assembly Constituency MLA,Pakke-Kessang Biyuram Wage inspected the ongoing road project sanctioned by North East Council (NEC) at Seijosa circle on February 4 last. Wage was accompanied by Executive Engineer PWD Pakke Kessang Divison, EE Nabam Takar, AE K.Ngomdir, ZPM Pani Tayem anlong with PRI members. During the inspection team visited the ongoing work from Check Gate to Golosoo 8 KM point and 62 Km long Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola road. During the visit, Wage discussed about the gradation and road alignment with the contractor and requested the PRI members to check the work progress and resolve any hindrance amicably for the development of the constituency. Wage also directed the executing firm not to compromise with the quality of the work construction and complete the project in stipulated period so that the connectivity problem between Seijosa and Pakke kessang would be made smooth. The 62km raod in Pakke Kesang assembly constituency will connect Itakhola in Assam at one end while Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) Sagalee-Seppa-Neichepu-NH-13 road on other end. The work which was allotted to PRL-Gepung (JV) in April 2017 through national bidding but due to litigation the actual work started in the month of October 17. Executive Engineer, PWD, Seijosa Division Nabam Takar informed that the improvement/up gradation work of the said road was approved by North East Council (NEC) in 2013-14 with an estimate cost of 166.16 Cr and sanctioned in 2015-16, however due to litigation it was delayed. Moreover the work finally began in October 17 and is in full progress, added the Engineer. ‘The work have been started from Check Post of Seijosa upto 8 KM point while the work from Palap(Suehung) in Pakke Kessang side. The jungle clearance have been competed upto 20 KM and hope that the work would go smoothly without any hindrance’ stated Er Takar while appealing the local public to cooperate in the field of development.(News shared by Manoj Singh)
