AALO,5th Apr: Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju unveiled the Golden Jubilee Mopin Commemoration Pillar, Lot Lomen and gave his goodwill Mopin greetings to the people Kamba Circle that thronged General Ground Kamba in thousands on the festive occasion Golden Jubilee Celebration of Mopin today.
Addressing a huge gathering, he said that light of development and education came late in this part of the country but what is unique in us is the way our tribal people have maintained the age old culture to showcase our distinct identity to the world. We need to keep up the tempo of
celebrating it in the best possible way every year. Speaking on developmental fronts, he disclosed that centre and state is now getting the cooperation and momentum to work hand in hand to fulfill the aspirations of the people and govt. commitment to give road connectivity to all villages by
2019 is coming out as a reality after sanctioning Rs. 32 crore for Kambu Bridge and connectivity to Sesi Likar village.
Terming highway as the lifeline for development, govt. is making all out effort to re-tender highway connecting East, West and Upper Subansiri road and state govt. has worked out 60 crores for repairing of deplorable road condition within the stretches of said road and insisted on early tendering of the work again to start work before onslaught of monsoon.
The Guest of Honour, Jambey Tashi, Parliamentary Secretary RWD and Special Guest Smti KY Waii, wife of Minister Home and RWD also gave their Mopin message and appreciated the way festivals are celebrated and culture is preserved in our state.
The Chief Patron and MLA 27th Liromoba AC, Nyamar Karbak said that recent Sports Carnival and joint Celebration of Mopin at Constituency and circle level are an effort to foster unity, brotherhood and oneness among the people of the constituency.
He disclosed that Kambu Bridge and Sesi Likar which was his prime agenda after coming to politics will be completed before dawn of New Year.
