DOIMUKH, JUL 14: ‘12TH Battalion NDRF, posted in state capital is always on the brink to extend help during any natural calamities with its men and machine ‘ said 2nd In Command, 12th Bn NDRF Arun Deogam during an interaction meet with state media fraternity at its Battalion office Doimukh.
While elaborating more on the initiatives and rescue operation done by the 12th NDRF Bn since its inception in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Deogam said ‘ NDRF is special force specialized in tackling all kind of natural calamities and other emergency situation . Beside that NDRF confer training to other Para military forces and military as well as to the state Disaster Response Force.
Stating that, he asserted that public or the people in the ground are the first response team , So NDRF also provide training about precaution measures during any natural calamities or other emergencies to villagers as well as to the students about all kinds of do’s and Don’ts.
When asked about modern machineries and other essential needs of the NDRF, Deogam said ‘our teams are equipped with all needed equipments and gears are always on door to respond any emergency call’.
While giving more inputs about the strength of the 12 Bn NDRF through power point presentation, Assistant Commandant, Brijesh Upadhyay informed that the 60th Bn of SSB has been converted into 12th Bn NDRF on 14th July-2015 and since then it is here in the state capital to respond all kind of emergency calls.
‘We are well trained in Medical First Responder (MFR), Collapse Structure Search & Rescue (CSSR) and Chemical Biological Nuclear & Radiological (CBRN) as well as in Flood, Earthquake and landslide rescue ,Deep diving search and rescue technique, Specialized manpower(doctor, paramedics, technician, electrician) , added Assistant Commandant.
Meanwhile, responding to request made by President Arunachal Pradesh Electronic Media Association, Mukul Pathak for a workshop for Media fraternity on how to report during any natural calamities or other emergency situation following the precaution measures , 2nd In Command, 12th Bn NDRF Arun Deogam has assured to initiate the request.
